Lucid Motors announces agreement with Gov’t of Saudi Arabia to purchase up to 100k EVs over the next decade

Lucid Group has announced a new agreement with long-time supporter Saudi Arabia and its Ministry of Finance. Under the terms of the agreement, the Government of Saudi Arabia has committed to purchasing 50,000 EVs from Lucid Motors over the next ten years, with the option to purchase an additional 50k over that same timeframe.

NIO is allowing customers enrolled in battery swaps to opt out and buy their EV batteries

New Mexico ski resort looks to reach net-zero emissions with help of a 100% electric snow groomer

Hyundai and We Drive Solar deploy IONIQ 5s with V2G tech in the Netherlands to create the ‘world’s first bi-directional city’

Lightyear partners with MyWheels to supply over 5,000 SEV models to car sharing platform

Germany’s economic ministry wants to lower EV subsidies and completely halt PHEV aid by the end of 2022

Reports out of Germany state that the country’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action has proposed to gradually phase out subsidies for EV purchases through 2025 and completely eliminate any benefits to consumers purchasing plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) by the end of this year. The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) is pushing back, arguing that PHEVs remain vital to EV adoption.

CATL invests in $6 billion battery project to manufacture, recycle, and mine material in Indonesia
