Electric vehicle conversion specialist Everrati is at it again with another BEV version of a combustion-era classic. Today the company unveiled an all-electric “Wide Body” version of the Porsche 911 Cabriolet convertible, which joins other officially licensed conversions of the iconic sports car in addition to several other electrified makes and models.

Carbon-conscious mining company Snow Lake Lithium and battery production specialist LG Energy Solution announced they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a domestic supply chain of lithium in North America. When Snow Lake’s lithium mining operation gets up and running in 2025, it plans to supply LG with the precious Earth material essential to current EV battery chemistry. This domestic supply chain could help several automakers qualify for US federal tax credits as well.

US public charging network EVgo has announced an expansion of its Plug and Charge capabilities via its new Autocharge+ technology. The most prominent of the bunch is BYD’s new eBus platform, which is powered by BYD’s durable Blade Batteries, currently being used in its passenger EVs.

General Motors’ commercial EV brand BrightDrop announced its intention to bring clean mobility to the world of groceries with its newly unveiled product, the Trace Grocery. The electrified cart (eCart) comes with multiple temperature controlled compartments to assist store employees in efficiently fulfilling online orders before they are picked up. Grocery giant Kroger intends to sign on as the first BrightDrop Trace customer.

American EV automaker Rivian is rolling out a new all-electric fleet of mobile service vehicles to support the growing number of R1T pickups and R1S SUVs hitting roads around the US. Chinese EV automaker XPeng Motors announced it has launched a pilot program for its City Navigation Pilot (NGP) Advanced Driver Assistance System. With its debut, XPeng claims to be the first Chinese company to deliver such an “high-level” ADAS for complex urban driving, continuing to challenge Tesla’s Full-Self-Driving (FSD) technology overseas.
