General Motors (GM) has announced a collaboration with Pilot Company to implement a coast-to-coast DC fast charging network co-branded with both the “Pilot Flying J” and “Ultium 360” logos. The new charging network will be powered by EVgo’s eXtend charging services for businesses.

GM Chair and CEO Mary Barra recently teased footage of the first engineering version of the Chevy Silverado EV enduring testing at the American automaker’s proving ground in Michigan. This is an important step for Chevy as it moves closer to start of production for its first all-electric truck.

Following initial deliveries of the GMC Edition 1 Hummer EV, current and future drivers will soon be able to experience “Extract Mode” – an upcoming adaptive air suspension feature that can lift the vehicle higher than several competitors in both the combustion and electric truck markets. This is big. General Motors (GM) has announced that it is adding Plug and Charge capabilities to its Ultium Charging 360 network of charge providers across North America and across its line of Bolt, Hummer and Cadillac Lyriq EVs.

To begin, drivers with an EVgo account will be able to utilize the convenience of Plug and Charge before GM expands the technology to additional charging networks across its Ultium Charge 360 family.

After a few days with this beast, it is clear that this thing has all the bells and whistles – but with a huge 200+ kWh battery, is the Hummer brand still a little excessive?

GM and Honda, which are already working together on two EVs coming to the US in 2024, announced a plan to “codevelop a series of affordable electric vehicles” to come to market by 2027.

General Motors marque GMC recently shared that it has received over 65,000 reservations for its electrified Hummer pickup and SUV, much higher than the American automaker’s initial expectations. As a result, GMC is expediting Hummer EV production to keep up with the growing consumer demand. That being said, the SUV version of the Hummer is not scheduled to deliver until 2023, and new pickup orders won’t be fulfilled until 2024 under current production timelines.

LG Energy Solution is investing $1.7 billion and creating 1,200 jobs at its existing EV battery factory in Holland, Michigan. The expansion of the factory will quintuple its capacity to produce EV battery components.

Following the Chevy Equinox EV’s debut during CES in January, General Motors has shared a new video of the upcoming vehicle, showcasing a new blue exterior color, two-toned, with a pearl roof. This appears to be our latest “preview” of the upcoming electric SUV before it enters production in late 2023.

The one question we had when GM unveiled its Cadillac Lyriq SUV was “will GM make enough of them to meet demand?”
