Day6 is a bike company on the path to electrify their bike lineup. Although the bike is made for accessibility, the detail that has gone into the geometry and design really shine through in a race-car feeling.
Instead of the electric motorcycle that Ducati has long promised us, its latest two-wheeled electric vehicle is another electric bicycle. This time, the company is announcing its new Ducati e-Scrambler electric bike.

What happens when you mix cruiser bike styling with a mountain bike fork and motorcycle-level hydraulic brakes? Oh, and when you slap on a 1,250 W peak motor for good measure? You get the Model R from the aptly-named Electric Bike Company.
I visited the company’s hometown of Newport Beach, California to see this new e-bike in person and put it through its paces.
Canyon Cycles has just introduced their premium new electric gravel bike known as the Canyon Grail:ON. Situated in the quickly growing category of electric gravel bikes, it rocks enough high-end components to draw the gaze of even the staunchest of non- e-cyclists.

The Super Monarch line of fat-tire adventure e-bikes from E-Cells has always been a bit over the top when it comes to performance specs. But now the company has really taken the gloves off with their newest high-powered electric bicycle, the Super Monarch Crown AWD 1500.
Connecticut-based Spark Cycleworks’ new product has just been added to the list of electric mopeds available in the US. The company’s Bandit electric moped comes with a VIN, allowing it to be registered as a street-legal vehicle.
The Ariel Rider D-Class Scrambler electric bike is one of the most powerful, thrilling e-bikes I’ve ridden in a long time. And the fact that it has a fresh mini-bike look only adds to the charm.
We’ve seen carbon fiber e-bikes before, as well as custom bikes. And even 3D-printed bikes. But Silicon Valley startup Superstrata is the first to put them all together with the company’s new unibody carbon fiber e-bikes. These are ultra-customized, 3D-printed at the exact size and geometry required for each rider.
In addition to the Superstrata Ion electric bike, Superstrata is also launching an acoustic (non-electric) version known as the Superstrata Terra.
Whether or not electric bicycles actually provide decent exercise is a hotly debated topic. But while we can argue back and forth all day, there’s no substitute for hard facts and real data. So I put my e-bike (and myself) to the test!
Electric bicycles have a lot going for them, helping riders commute faster and farther than pedal bikes and more efficiently than cars, all without needing ultra-toned quads and calves. But now we’re learning about one more big advantage: e-bikes are apparently safer than pedals bikes.
VanMoof, the Dutch company that specializes in very futuristic Dutch-style electric bikes has a new $2,000 S3 model that we’ve had a few weeks to take for a spin. While we marveled at a lot of the design and technology of this prototype bike, I can conclude that it isn’t for everyone, particularly if you’ve got long steep hills to conquer or want to travel above 20mph.

Yamaha is back with a new electric bicycle for the US market. This time it is the Yamaha Civante, and it’s the fastest electric bike they’ve offered yet in the US.
Today Bosch unveiled a new concept for a futuristic full-suspension on and off-road electric bike that incorporates and showcases a number of different Bosch technologies.
Dutch e-bicycle company VanMoof released an e-bike TV ad titled, “Time to Ride the Future,” which aired in the Netherlands and Germany without controversy. But France’s ad regulatory group Autorité de Régulation Professionnelle de la Publicité (ARPP) banned the ad because it said it created a “climate of anxiety.”
Haibike, a worldwide locally sold electric bike brand, carves a place in the middle of the road with the flexible Sduro Trekking 4.0.
In the past, Haibike carried about 50 different models in a variety of sizes, component level, tire size, and frame option. Lately, they’ve reduced their USA offering to less than 20 models, and I think it’s a change for the better. One of the models that made the cut is the quite flexible model called the Sduro Trekking 4.0.
German startup Black Tea is putting the final touches on the upcoming launch of its new electric motorbike, the Black Tea Moped.

Ride1Up will soon unveil a slick new belt-drive e-bike known as the Ride1Up Roadster V2.
