Yadea shows off full-suspension commuter e-bike at Eurobike 2026

Yadea is best known for its electric scooters and motorcycles, which have helped cement the company as the world’s leading electric vehicle maker by production volume. But despite leading the world in EV manufacturering volume – or perhaps because of it – the company has also developed quite an interesting lineup of electric bicycles. Rivian tops Q2 delivery numbers and raises full-year 2026 outlook

Rivian dropped a positive note today to investors on production and delivery totals for the quarter ending June 30, 2026. The company produced 12,613 vehicles at its manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois, and delivered 12,194 vehicles. That compares very favorably to the 9000/11,000 numbers they had predicted. E-bikes bring both bad and good, but one greatly outweighs the other

Spend enough time reading the news and you’d be forgiven for thinking e-bikes are society’s newest menace. Every week seems to bring another headline about reckless teenagers weaving through traffic, riders flying down sidewalks, battery fires, or politicians introducing bills to crack down on electric bicycles.

Cybertruck failure kills home charging, and Tesla is avoiding a recall

A growing number of Tesla Cybertruck owners are losing the ability to charge at home due to failures of the truck’s Power Conversion System (PCS), the unit that handles AC charging and steps the high-voltage pack down to the 48-volt system.

Tesla is aware of the problem and is quietly replacing the part case-by-case, but it has not issued a recall, and owners are waiting weeks for replacement units they can’t source.

Tesla poaches 17-year Intel veteran to lead its ‘Terafab’ chip plant

Tesla has hired a 17-year Intel manufacturing veteran, Gary Jiang, to serve as “Director, Terafab,” the first named leadership hire tied to the automaker’s ambitious Austin chip fab project.

The executive, who started at Tesla this month, most recently ran tool installation and ramp for Intel’s cutting-edge 18A process — exactly the experience Tesla lacks in-house.
