As of today, Jeep, Dodge and Stellantis EVs can plug in and charge on Tesla’s Supercharger network, the largest DC charging network in North America. Stellantis was the last brand set to gain access, so now just about every EV in America can use Superchargers, with the right adapters.

EVgo bets on NACS as Tesla’s charging port takes over US EVs

EVgo is betting big on Tesla’s charging standard. After a 2025 pilot that put nearly 100 NACS connectors online across 22 major metro areas, the public fast-charging provider says it plans to scale quickly, with more than 500 NACS connectors expected to be installed by the end of this year at both existing sites and new locations.

After watching every other major automaker, Ford, GM, Mercedes, Hyundai-Kia, and even the famously cautious Toyota, and just last week Volkswagen, jump ship from the clunky CCS standard to the elegant, proven, and reliable NACS connector, Stellantis was the last major legacy holdout.

Well, the last domino has fallen, but the most interesting thing is that the NACS connector, which stands for North American Charging Standard, is going global – beyond North America.

The 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V is a new entry-level sports electric vehicle (EV) with over 500 horsepower, sporty styling both inside and out, and additional upgrades. It’s also GM’s first vehicle with a built-in NACS port, unlocking access to Tesla Superchargers.

Hot on the heels of Kia being added to Tesla’s “coming soon” page for Supercharger access, we’re now learning that Supercharger support won’t actually come nearly as soon as expected for Kia – with a delay of weeks or months before Kia owners can plug in at North America’s largest fast charging network.

Ford is replacing some NACS adapters sent to EV owners

Ford F-150 Lightning and Mach-e drivers may have to wait a little longer to plug into Tesla’s Supercharger network. After several had already received their NACS adapters, Ford emailed many to say it was replacing the unit. In the meantime, the company doesn’t recommend using the current one.
