Kia EV6

Kia America has announced a new partnership with mobile charging service, Currently, to provide its drivers with on-demand EV charging when and where they please. The initial rollout of this partnership will provide Currently’s charging service to Kia owners in three major California cities to begin, before expanding to other metropolitan areas in the future.

North American EV charging network Electrify America has announced a collaboration with Kia America to provide 1,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of free charging to EV6 customers. According to EA, this should equate to about 3,500-4,000 miles of complimentary charging.

Kia flew us out to wine and “winding road” country to test the new EV6, which is coming a bit late to the US, as it’s been out for a while in its native Korea and Europe already. So that means I’ve had months to digest the information about the car, its characteristics, and its place in the industry. Kia America announced that unlike Tom Brady, it will return to the Super Bowl this year with a new :60 spot that promotes both love for the environment and furry friends. In addition to showcasing the Kia’s new all-electric EV6 sedan, the campaign will also help shelter animals find a forever home.

Kia America today announced pricing for its 2022 EV6 lineup, which is the brand’s first electric only model. Pricing starts at $33,400 (here’s that asterisk) after the $7,500 federal vehicle tax credit for the 2WD “Light” model.

The all-new Kia EV6 is one of the most hotly anticipated new cars of the year – electric or otherwise. It’s been a weird couple of months, though, and ongoing supply chain issues and chip shortages had some customers understandably worried that their EV6 wouldn’t get delivered on the promised date. But now, at least one person has received their EV6… and it’s three months early!

Kia announced that the EV6, its first next-gen electric vehicle, has received its EPA rating ahead of its US launch, and it has a range of up to 310 miles on a single charge, according to the driving cycle.

Among the legacy car makers, there are surely no brands whose stock has risen as sharply, amid the transition to EV, as Korean sister companies Kia and Hyundai.

In this EV game, there are heroes, both sung and unsung. More often than not, it’s the Teslas and Polestars of this world that steal all the headlines with their space-age technology and spaceship designs. But actually, some of the most significant EVs of the past decade have rather flown under the radar, adored by those who drive them but underappreciated by the rest of the world.

Kia is reporting strong demand for its sleek new EV6 electric crossover with over 30,000 show-of-interests within a month from the unveiling.

Kia has unveiled today the Kia EV6, an electric crossover based on the Hyundai E-GMP platform, and the specs are basically the same as the recently unveiled Ioniq 5, but in a different package.

Kia has shown the first images of their all-electric “crossover-inspired” EV6, based on the Hyundai E-GMP modular EV platform, which it shares with the recently announced Ioniq 5. While we have no specs yet, we expect to hear more about them at an event later this month.
