Tesla opens direct orders of up to 54 Powerpacks and reveals pricing

Today Tesla updated its ‘Tesla Energy’ website to include a lot more information about its commercial and utility-scale products, and even added a ‘Design Your Powerpack System‘ page with pricing information and an option to directly order a system of up to 54 Powerpacks (5.4 MWh).

The smallest order you can place for the stationary energy storage system is for 2 Powerpacks costing $47,000 each or $470/kWh.

Tesla reveals Model X pricing for early European reservation holders

While Tesla is debuting the Model X in Europe this week at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker invited Signature Model X reservation holders in Europe to configure their vehicle, and in doing so, it revealed the all-electric SUV’s European pricing.

Some early reservation holders are surprised by the price and took to the forums to discuss the situation, which varies country by country.

Tesla opens orders for the Model X in China with “Signature Red” for the New Year, announces pricing and aims for Q2 deliveries

Today, Tesla Motors opened the Chinese online design studio and order book for the Model X in China. Until now, Tesla had only allowed reservation holders in the US and Canada to configure and place an order for the new all-electric SUV, which makes China the first non-North American market to be able to order the car.

Hyundai will launch all three electric versions of the IONIQ in the US in Q3

CEO of Hyundai Motor America Dave Zuchowski confirmed that the company will launch all three electric versions of the IONIQ in the US during the third quarter. The vehicle will be available in all-electric (BEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and conventional hybrid without a plug (HEV). Hyundai revealed most of the details of the HEV version, but the company is mute about the BEV and PHEV versions.
