Stellantis and Foxconn announce joint venture to produce next-generation EV semiconductors

Dutch automotive conglomerate Stellantis announced the forming of a new joint venture with Hon Hai Technology Group, better known as Foxconn, to develop and scale a family of state-of-the-art semiconductors for next-generation EV platforms. Stellantis and Foxconn will each bring their own expertise to the JV, which should eventually cater to the entire automotive industry.

Stellantis and Archer share progress update of massive eVTOL production facility in US

Over six months after expanding upon an existing partnership to bring mass production of eVTOLs to the US, Stellantis and Archer Aviation have shared a progress update. Stellantis forms joint venture to recycle end-of-life vehicles and create a more circular economy

Global automaker Stellantis is announced a new joint venture with metal recycling specialist Galloo to develop a more circular economy on its way to becoming greener throughout its entire business by 2030. Together, Stellantis and Galloo intend to implement a service to recycle end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) from the former’s brands, and possibly other automakers.

Stellantis to exclusively build Archer Aviation’s ‘Midnight’ eVTOL in the US

Stellantis relaunches Lancia as all-electric marque, teases radical EV design

Italian automotive brand Lancia is experiencing a new renaissance in its 116 year history, and it involves going all electric. During a “Design Day” event today, the Stellantis subsidiary kicked off a ten year strategy that will introduce three bespoke Lancia EVs between 2024-2028. While it didn’t share any glimpse of its future EVs, Lancia did share an interesting looking automotive sculpture that encompasses the radical design we will see in all three of the future models. GAC calls out Stellantis CEO for ‘lack of respect’ toward Chinese customers amid failed Jeep joint venture

Following news that global automaker Stellantis would be terminating its joint venture to produce Jeeps with Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC), the Chinese automaker has clapped back. More specifically, GAC has singled out Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares over his recent comments about the failed joint venture, and the supposed “broken trust” between the two partners.

Global automaker Stellantis is making its footprint slightly less global, following the termination of a joint venture established with GAC Group over a decade ago to build Jeeps overseas. Stellantis has cited a “lack of progress” in acquiring a majority stake in the JV, and instead will try to import its electrified Jeep offerings to China.

Stellantis and Samsung SDI announce joint venture to build 33 GWh battery plant in US

Kokomo, Indiana, may not be the location the Beach Boys were singing about, but its definitely the current tune of both Stellantis and Samsung SDI, as the two announced a joint venture to build a US EV battery plant there. Together, the global automaker and battery manufacturer will invest over $2.5 billion to bring a slew of new EV jobs to Kokomo and its surrounding areas.
