Mercedes-Benz VISION EQXX completes 1000+ km journey on a single charge, paving the way for future long distance EV travel

After promising the journey earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz has successfully taken its VISION EQXX concept EV over 1,000 km (621 miles) in routine traffic on a single charge. The journey began in cold rainy conditions in Sindelfingen, Germany, and successfully crossed the finish line in the town of Cassis on the Côte d’Azur in the south of France with range to spare.

During a live demonstration at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, Mercedes-Benz and Bosch offered a glimpse into the future in which our EVs will valet themselves. Using the Intelligent Park Pilot feature in the Mercedes EQS, the companies were able to demonstrate a driver pulling up, exiting the vehicle, and activating the automated valet using an app.
