Ford released its July 2022 sales today, showing that the automaker continues its push into the EV market. In fact, rising Ford EV sales boosted the automaker to become the best-selling brand this past month.

Lightning strikes quickly and often it would seem. According to news from Ford Motor Company this morning, customers in all 50 states have received F-150 Lightning pickups just two months after deliveries began. Here are a few of those customers’ stories.

Ford Motor Company will continue its tradition of providing vehicles to the police, but this time, it’s going all-electric. Today, Ford has unveiled the F-150 Lightning Pro Special Service Vehicle – what the American automaker is calling the first electric pickup truck in the US, purpose-built for the police.

Ford Motor Company has just issued its first safety recall on its all-electric F-150 Lightning pickup. According to the American automaker, the issue is surrounding the EV’s tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) but only affects trucks delivered with certain size tires.

Ford has started to deliver the F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck, but some dealers are taking advantage of the demand. One of them was spotted doubling the price of the electric pickup by adding a $69,000 markup.

Ford has been providing an adapter to F-150 Lightning electric pickup buyers that enables them to charge stranded Tesla vehicles.

An early Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup did a real-world towing test with a 23-foot Airstream trailer. It showed a loss of about half the vehicle’s range.

United Rentals announced an agreement with Ford Pro to purchase hundreds of EVs to support its fleet sustainability goals for North America. The initial order is for 500 F-150 Lightning pickups and 30 E-Transit vans. The Ford EVs will begin deliveries to United Rentals later this year to be use by both the rental company and its customers.

Ford is letting its dealers know that they shouldn’t rush in to sell their F-150 Lightning demo units – even though the demand is high – or they will face some repercussions.

As first deliveries of Ford’s highly-anticipated F-150 Lightning begin this week, the American automaker has announced the all-electric pickup will arrive with more horsepower and higher payload capacity that originally promised. Furthermore, Ford announced new cloud software that more accurately estimates the F-150 Lightning’s range while towing in real-time. The more it’s used, the more precise it can become.

Ford has confirmed the price of its “Home Integration System,” which enables the F-150 Lightning electric pickup to power your home in case of an outage.

Automakers worldwide will spend more than a half trillion dollars to develop new electric cars and passenger trucks, and also on battery manufacturing, through 2030, according to the latest report by London-based sustainability consultancy firm ERM for the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF).

As new, larger, and more powerful EVs make their way into consumer driveways, their deliveries still remain quite small in number compared to the other electric vehicle types. That being said, the demand for electric trucks has exploded with many manufacturer models reserved into the next couple years. As a result, some early customers of these EV trucks are taking advantage of this demand and reselling them for a profit, some more than double what they paid.

Ford received its EPA ratings for more versions of its upcoming F-150 Lightning electric pickup. The Extended Range versions with the bigger battery pack are getting a better-than-expected 320-mile EPA range.

The base version of the Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup, which starts at $40,000, has received an official EPA rating with an estimated range of 230 miles and 68 MPGe.

Ahead of deliveries this spring, Ford Motor Company has shared footage of its highly anticipated F-150 Lightning enduring winter testing through snow and ice. The trove of footage was gathered over two weeks in Alaska, where Ford engineers fine tuned the all-electric pickup in -30℉ temperatures.

Ford has launched its new Ford Charge Station Pro, a bi-directional home charging station that works with the upcoming F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck.

It is offered at a surprisingly good price, considering it enables backup power and can basically replace a generator or Tesla Powerwall.

Ford has been known to cherry pick the best features of other electric vehicles and make them their own. If a tidbit we’ve found in the Ford App comes to fruition, the F-150 Lightning will soon be able to park itself via remote control using phone apps.
