I’ve seen and played around with a lot of DIY electric bicycle conversion kits. Hell, I even wrote the book on the subject. But the Swytch kit is something unlike any other conversion kit I’ve seen. It’s an interesting new take on the classic e-bike conversion problem.
It looks like we can add Energica to the list of electric motorcycle companies that will be pulling a veil off a shiny new motorcycle at the 2019 EICMA Milan Motorcycle Show next week. This past weekend we first broke the news on a new electric motorcycle that was headed for a debut at the 2019 EICMA Milan Motorcycle Show next month. But as interesting as the Hadin Panther electric cruiser looked, there were some serious questions and suspicious riddles that were left unanswered.
Now we’ve caught up with the company to get to the bottom of the mystery of what they call the “first American-style cruiser electric motorcycle.”
Vintage Electric, a California-based electric bike manufacturer, collaborated with American automotive racing legend Carrol Shelby’s grandson on Vintage’s latest high-speed electric bicycle.
Riding through the south German countryside between rows of farmland, there was nothing to give me a sense of time. The green fields were dotted with rickety old barns as I blew past on my vintage-looking scooter. The only clue to remind me that I wasn’t living out a 1960’s Eurotrip fantasy was the soft whirr of the electric motor on my Kumpan electric scooter – a sound that surely would have been replaced by an abrasive “putt putt putt” on a scooter like this decades ago.
Despite a growing range of electric motorcycles available to the public, electric cruiser motorcycles are still few and far between. Now a new company known as Hadin is planning to present an electric cruiser motorcycle at the upcoming EICMA Milan Motorcycle Show. But is the Hadin electric motorcycle the real deal?
Ducati has promised the world that it plans to roll out an electric motorcycle, but so far we’ve seen the company put its name on just about every other type of electric two-wheeler. The latest is a set of three new Ducati electric bicycles that were just unveiled at a Ducati event in Italy.

Swagtron’s EB7 folding electric bike has long been one of the brand’s best selling e-bikes. With an original price of just $599 and the performance to match many e-bikes at twice its price, its popularity is no surprise.

I recently got my hands on a high-power and high-speed Currus NF electric scooter from FreeMotionShop.com.
And while many electric scooters are guilty of wobbly parts and substandard construction, the Currus NF may just be the most overbuilt electric scooter I’ve ever seen.
So far, the only thing we’ve known about Harley-Davidson’s upcoming electric bicycles is that they are coming. But now we’ve received new info that sheds some light on what H-D is planning for the lightest motorbikes they’ve ever built. Expand Expanding Close
