Ford announced plans to build an electric crossover with China’s Geely as part of a new alliance. A new compact SUV is also set to join the Bronco family.

The Geely Xingyuan, sold overseas as the EX2, was the top-selling car in China last year. While it was yet again the most popular EV in April, Geely launched an upgraded model offering more range at the same low price.

Ford is reportedly in “very advanced” talks with Volvo owner, Geely, to sell a portion of its Valencia plant in Spain. The deal may involve a new electric vehicle.
