Jaguar is planning to launch new electric vehicles and it could be in a much bigger way than with the new I-Pace.
The British automaker has reportedly signed an important 5 GWh cylindrical battery cell contract with Samsung for upcoming electric vehicles.

Today Jaguar officially announced that it will join the third season of the Formula E championship. The company also unveiled the design of its all-electric race car. The company says it will use the Formula E platform as a “test bed” for its electric powertrain technology.

Jaguar Land Rover is showcasing 3 new vehicle platforms for the Concept_e research at the CENEX Low Carbon Vehicle event which runs this week in the UK. The Concept_e platforms are coming out of a $25 million advanced powertrain research program partly backed by the UK government.
The concept platforms are intended for future generations vehicles and the company currently doesn’t have any plan to implement them in its lineup.
