Fisker to sell and possibly build Ocean EVs in China, expects first deliveries in early 2024

American EV automaker Fisker Inc. has just hit a major company milestone years in the making. Contract manufacturer Magna Steyr has officially begun production of the Fisker Ocean SUV at its carbon neutral facility in Graz, Austria. With Magna’s help, this second iteration of the Fisker brand continues to prove the naysayers wrong while moving to deliver a truly unique looking EV.

According to its financial results report for Q3 2022 released today, Fisker remains on schedule to begin production of its flagship Ocean SUV two weeks from now. The American EV automaker is also reporting over 62,000 combined reservations and orders ahead of a four phase production plan that’s expected to produce 42,400 units by the end of 2023. Outside of the Ocean, Fisker also shared a progress report of its second EV – the PEAR.

Magna mulls US plant – could Fisker Ocean and Jaguar I-Pace soon qualify for federal tax credits?

Fisker asks Ocean One reservation holders for additional $5,000 downpayment to secure their order

Fisker Inc. is asking its Ocean One reservation holders to shell out an extra $5,000 in a nonrefundable deposit for a “pre-order” on top of the $250 previously required to secure a reservation for the electric SUV. According to the American automaker, the $5,000 is considered a downpayment and applies to reservations for the Ocean One Launch Edition only.
