Fisker (FSR) Q1 2023 report: 55 Ocean SUVs built, two delivered, guidance drops, PEAR delayed

Fisker Inc. has released its Q1 financial report for 2023, and although there is some room for celebration as early deliveries of its flagship SUV (sort of) roll out, there is much work to be done on the production side to come close to previously announced output guidance. Today also brought a progress update of the Fisker PEAR, a new version of the Ocean, and plans for more EVs.

Fisker Q3 results: 62k reservations, 42k units coming in 2023, and a drivable PEAR prototype

According to its financial results report for Q3 2022 released today, Fisker remains on schedule to begin production of its flagship Ocean SUV two weeks from now. The American EV automaker is also reporting over 62,000 combined reservations and orders ahead of a four phase production plan that’s expected to produce 42,400 units by the end of 2023. Outside of the Ocean, Fisker also shared a progress report of its second EV – the PEAR.

During its 2022 annual stockholder meeting this morning, Fisker CEO Henrik Fisker shared several updates regarding the company and its progress in delivering its flagship Ocean SUV this fall. Despite supply chain constraints throughout the automotive industry, all skies look clear ahead according to Fisker, thanks in large part to a long-term agreement with contract manufacturer Magna International.

Fisker Inc. held its fourth quarter and 2021 fiscal year financial results call yesterday, sharing an update to investors and media alike. As part of a slew of progress news from the ever optimistic Henrik Fisker, the Ocean now has over 31,000 reservations and will deliver with what the automaker is calling a ‘world leading warranty program.’

Fisker opens reservations for second EV, the PEAR starting below $30k before taxes or incentives

As Fisker Inc. continues to work toward start of production of its flagship Ocean EV, it has begun taking reservations for its second model, the PEAR – a compact, five-passenger “urban EV.” With the opening of reservations, Fisker is also claiming the PEAR will start at an MSRP below $30,000 in the US, and that’s before any incentives – a price point few automakers have been able to deliver.
