Having just launched its 2024 Air models a couple of months ago, slashing prices, Lucid has lowered its MSRPs once again, incentivizing potential customers with additional charging and maintenance bonuses as well.

Lucid Motors just announced it is the latest EV automaker to adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS). By integrating the charging standard originated by Tesla, Lucid will eventually be able to offer its customers access to over 15,000 Superchargers in North America alone.

A recent job opportunity on LinkedIn posted by Lucid Motors less than 24 hours ago hints at an incoming new media app infotainment for its EV drivers. According to Lucid’s new role of senior product manager, media partner management, one of the key responsibilities will include working with Apple Music, Amazon Music, and other “media app partners.”

Lucid Motors launches RWD Air Pure variant, its most affordable trim that still offers tons of range

This morning, Lucid Motors has announced the launch and immediate start of sales for a new rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant of its Air Pure sedan. Today’s latest trim closes out the lineup of Lucid’s flagship EV, now offering a variety of trims from the RWD pure, the the tri-motor Sapphire. Don’t get it twisted, though, this “most affordable” Lucid model delivers more range than nearly any other EV on the market.

It has now been close to two years since Lucid Motors began rolling its flagship Air sedan off its assembly lines. However, even as Lucid’s footprint grows in the US, many consumers have not even seen an Air up close, let alone driven one. Lucid Motors isn’t about to let potential customers of the other American EV automakers have all the fun. Just because its EVs don’t qualify for federal tax credits under new terms in the Inflation Reduction Act does not mean customers looking to buy a new Lucid Air can’t get $7,500 off. That’s right – for a limited time, Lucid Motors is offering its own $7,500 credit for purchases of select models of the Air sedan.

Lucid Air Sapphire crushes Tesla Model S Plaid, Bugatti Chiron, and Ducati in 9.1 sec quarter mile

Elon Musk may think Lucid Motors could be on the verge of death as a company, but its latest tri-motor version of its Air sedan sure says otherwise from a speed standpoint. In a recent video you can view below, the team at Hagerty put the Lucid Air Sapphire up against the Tesla Model S Plaid and Bugatti Chiron in a drag race. As if that wasn’t enough, Sapphire took on a Ducati motorcycle head to head as well.

Panasonic Energy to supply batteries to Lucid Air, Gravity and build in US

Lucid Group and Panasonic Energy announced they have entered into multi-year agreements that entail the latter supplying lithium-ion batteries to both the Lucid Air and Gravity SUV. Part of the agreement supports Panasonic Energy’s plans to expand outside of Japan and begin production at a new facility in the US.

Lucid Motors begins Air Touring deliveries; Pure to follow this year

Less than two weeks after promising to unveil its full electric sedan lineup with the public, Lucid Motors has officially launched the Air Touring with the Air Pure to follow this year. Even as the lowest-tier version of Lucid’s flagship sedan, the Air Pure is promising 410 miles of range and 0-60 mph acceleration in under four seconds. Delicious.
