Hyundai IONIQ 6

After building the anticipation, Hyundai has finally revealed prices for its electrified streamliner sedan everyone’s been talking about. The Hyundai IONIQ 6 will have a starting MSRP of $41,600, with most trim levels available at US dealerships starting this spring.

The official EPA ratings are finally out for the 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6, and wow, are they impressive, blowing away most expectations.

Ever played “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon?” If you have, you’ll understand that Hyundai’s “Bacon Number” sits at one now that the automaker has tapped the renowned actor for a series of new ads with the IONIQ 6. As you’ll see in the video below, Bacon perfectly portrays the average dad but one who has made the switch to a Hyundai EV. Much like a new snowblower or a gloomy weather forecast, Dad can’t stop talking about it.

Hyundai Motor UK has shared pricing and performance specs for both Premium and Ultimate trims of the upcoming IONIQ 6 streamliner. All versions of the IONIQ 6 currently coming to the UK feature the larger 77.4 kWh battery, providing the most range. However, as you’ll see below, the starting pricing of the IONIQ 6 is higher to start, compared to what a 53 kWh version may cost in the US.

Hyundai’s second dedicated electric vehicle, the IONIQ 6, is due for its world premiere tomorrow, November 17, but the EV is already making big headlines. The IONIQ 6 EV earned the top five-star safety EURO NCAP rating, joining the IONIQ 5 as one of the safest models to drive in Europe.

While the EV’s WLTP range only saw an increase of a few miles compared to its initial debut, its other specs like drag coefficient and energy efficiency could make it one of the industry leaders in both categories. The Hyundai team sure thinks so.

Photos of Hyundai’s Ioniq 6 have leaked in advance of its June 29 reveal, showing a swoopy, aerodynamic shape for the upcoming EV sedan.
