Stellantis’ Jeep joint venture files for bankruptcy, setting expiry in China

Months after announcing plans to terminate its Jeep joint venture in China with GAC Group, the Stellantis JV has officially filed for bankruptcy. Following the approval by GAC, Stellantis’ Jeep production overseas will cease, putting an end to a joint venture that began in 2010.

Following news that global automaker Stellantis would be terminating its joint venture to produce Jeeps with Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC), the Chinese automaker has clapped back. China gets a new all-electric crossover for just ‘US$ 22,200 to 25,600’: GAC Motor GE3

After unveiling its new GE3 all-electric crossover at the 2017 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit earlier this year, China’s GAC Motor is now launching the production version of the vehicle in its home country.
The production specs are fairly impressive for a vehicle of its price range: 150,200 to 173,200 yuan (US$ 22,200 to 25,600).

China’s GAC announces giant $6.5 billion electric vehicle industrial park
