E1 has reopened its Pilot Academy in search of fresh talent that will compete in the racing series’ second season in 2025.

Nascent electric boat racing series E1 recently completed its third Grand Prix of its inaugural season. As the nine initial teams, led by a mix of celebrities and professional athletes, compete around the globe en route to the championship in Hong Kong this fall, E1 has added another gorgeous location for a summer GP – Lake Como.

Young electric boat racing series E1 continues to garner star power as it continues its inaugural UIM World Championship season. Actor, producer, and musician Will Smith and his team, Westbrook Racing, have joined E1 to compete against several other big names in sports and entertainment.

The teams are set, and the race locations are now locked. Infant electric boat racing league, E1, sits a month and a half away from its inaugural season and has shared the 2024 race calendar that begins in Saudi Arabia en route to a finale in a newly announced location – Hong Kong.

As the UIM E1 electric boat racing championship sits less than a month from its inaugural season, the nascent league has announced its latest team owner – musician Marc Anthony. The renowned salsa singer will lead Team Miami during the first-ever electric boat racing series in 2024.

After consistent updates pertaining to its growing lineup of team owners, but with multiple delays to the start to its inaugural season, the UIM E1 World Championship has set a date for its first official racing event. We are now 100 days out from the first-ever electric boat racing series, although the rest of the race calendar remains a tad less clear. Here’s the latest.

The world’s first electric boat racing series has been teasing its forthcoming schedule for over a year, and it has finally arrived… although it’ll start a tad later than expected. The UIM E1 World Championship Series has unveiled its official race calendar, which will begin in Saudi Arabia and continue through several beautiful coastal cities in Europe.

Nascent electric boat racing league UIM E1 continues to make waves ahead of its inaugural season kicking off later this year. Tennis great Rafael Nadal has officially signed on as the league’s latest team owner, representing his native home of Mallorca, Spain. Additionally, Nadal will support the league’s Blue Action Program, which helps restore marine ecosystems, working alongside his own academy to promote sustainability through sport.

To celebrate its 10th race competition, the Yacht club de Monaco is inviting commercially available electric boats to compete in the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge (MEBC) for the first time. The new commercial electric boat rally will join the Solar, Energy, and Open Sea Classes already in place with hopes to host the world’s largest gathering of electric maritime vessels.

Budding electric boat racing league E1 has announced an agreement with organizers of the annual World Port Days event in Rotterdam, Netherlands to include electric boat racing. In addition to E1’s RaceBird prototype being on display at this year’s event, E1 is planning future races in Rotterdam as it approaches its inaugural championship racing season next year.

The Venice Racing team will officially be on the starting grid during the inaugural season of E1’s all-electric race boat championship. We can expect more racing teams to follow as the E1 Series is in conversations with dozens of other prospective teams.

Engineers have successfully begun water testing of the RaceBird – an all-electric, single pilot foiling boat that will soon be racing in the E1World Electric Powerboat Series. The RaceBird has been in development the past couple years as the official racing vessel for E1.
