E1 CEO teases where inaugural electric boat racing season will compete this year

As the UIM E1 World Championship Series gears up to kick off its first-ever electric boat racing season later this year, it has offered a Q&A with its cofounder and CEO Rodi Basso, who shares several progress updates. Tennis legend Rafael Nadal is E1’s latest team owner, spotlighting electric boat racing league

Nascent electric boat racing league UIM E1 continues to make waves ahead of its inaugural season kicking off later this year. Tennis great Rafael Nadal has officially signed on as the league’s latest team owner, representing his native home of Mallorca, Spain. Additionally, Nadal will support the league’s Blue Action Program, which helps restore marine ecosystems, working alongside his own academy to promote sustainability through sport.

E1 electric boat racing league inks deal to race in Rotterdam ahead of 2023 inaugural season

Budding electric boat racing league E1 has announced an agreement with organizers of the annual World Port Days event in Rotterdam, Netherlands to include electric boat racing. In addition to E1’s RaceBird prototype being on display at this year’s event, E1 is planning future races in Rotterdam as it approaches its inaugural championship racing season next year.

RaceBird all-electric foiling boat takes first flight ahead of new E1 marine racing championship

Engineers have successfully begun water testing of the RaceBird – an all-electric, single pilot foiling boat that will soon be racing in the E1World Electric Powerboat Series. The RaceBird has been in development the past couple years as the official racing vessel for E1.
