Prologue first drive: A beginner-level EV on par with Honda’s first entry into the segment

Honda Motor Company sits on the cusp of delivering its first EV – the Prologue – to the US market. Developed with the help of General Motors, this all-electric SUV is a notable start to zero-emissions vehicles and should do well with fans of the Japanese brand who are new to EVs. I got to drive the Prologue in California last month and have plenty of thoughts.

After teasing a sketch of its upcoming Honda Prologue electric SUV co-developed with GM earlier this year, the Japanese automaker has shared new video footage documenting the design process, teasing new EV angles not seen before.

Honda teases Prologue EV alongside plans to hasten lumbering electrification strategy

Honda Motor Co. released a sketch of its upcoming Prologue electric SUV co-developed with GM – its first vehicle designed primarily using virtual reality visualization technology. Additionally, Honda shared an update to its EV sale strategy that includes three separate phases on its path to introduce 30 EVs globally by the end of the decade.

Honda announces all new models will be electric after 2030… but only in China to start

Honda has shared details of a comprehensive electrification strategy that includes two production vehicles and three concepts donning a new “e:N Series” electric branding. The Japanese automaker plans to introduce 10 Honda-brand EV models in the next five years, but only in China. That being said, Honda stated that it “envisions exporting these models from China” as well… someday.
