Ford’s electric pickup is getting a few big updates. The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning shows Tesla NACS fast-charging stations using Apple CarPlay and gains an improved BlueCruise. Ford’s F-150 Lightning is losing ground in the US with new electric pickups like the Tesla Cybertruck and Chevy Silverado EV now available. Although Ford plans to launch smaller, more affordable EVs, including an SUV and pickup, they won’t arrive for (at least) another two years. Ford is replacing some NACS adapters sent to EV owners

Ford F-150 Lightning and Mach-e drivers may have to wait a little longer to plug into Tesla’s Supercharger network. After several had already received their NACS adapters, Ford emailed many to say it was replacing the unit. In the meantime, the company doesn’t recommend using the current one.
