Apollo Pro review: There’s never been a high-power electric scooter like this before

apollo pro electric scooter

Several years ago the team at Canada’s premier electric scooter company Apollo decided that they weren’t just going to sell off-the-shelf scooters. Instead, they were going to innovate with new designs and custom development to create unique and high performance scooters. After multiple launches of progressively more customized scooters, it feels like the new Apollo Pro has reached the pinnacle of that design ethos.

E-scooter at highway speeds? ZonDoo’s 8kW RoadHitter lives up to its name

ZonDoo Roadhitter

ZonDoo recently came out with the RoadHitter, the fastest electric scooter in their lineup and likely one of the fastest electric scooters out there. At a glance, the RoadHitter’s eye-catching 68mph top speed and bright light show make it seem like a ludicrous scooter, fit only for those looking for maximum adrenaline and minimum safety. However, while it can definitely get the heart pumping, it also has a few more features that are worth taking a look at.

Here are the coolest e-bikes and more we saw at Micromobility Europe 2023

Micromobility Europe 2023 returned to Amsterdam last week for a two-day microEV extravaganza. Personal electric vehicles from all over Europe and beyond converged on the venue, bringing in e-bikes, e-scooters, e-unicycles, electric micro-cars and more. To cap off two full days of product displays, expert panels, startup pitches and more, the conference joined local cyclists in Amsterdam for a massive rave ride, complete with a DJ on a cargo e-bike blasting music along the route.

Porsche releases a ‘sporty’ electric motorbike, but there’s a catch

yadea VF f200

When it comes to motorbikes, there’s simply no comparison. Electric motorcycles and scooters crush their combustion engine-powered cousins in performance. The instantaneous torque and immediate power delivery makes for a more thrilling ride, while the lack of exhaust noise or smell (as well as significantly reduced maintenance and ownership costs) make their use more enjoyable. And it seems that automotive company Porsche has gotten the message loud and clear based on the company’s partnership with Yadea to release the VF F200 electric motorbike.

aike t electric scooter

Last summer I had the chance to test out the European designed and manufactured electric scooter Äike T at its world debut launch. As one of the first-ever test riders, I didn’t quite know what to expect. But after checking it out and doing my first few parking lot donuts, I knew this would be something special. Now nearly a year later, the Äike T is finally coming to the US via a new subscription service known as Tempo.

This is the funky electric bike that got Himiway sued for copying its design

In the highly-competitive world of electric bike design, there are often originators and follow-on imitators. But when Himiway rolled out its new Pony micro e-bike a few months ago, the blurry line between imitation and inspiration seemed quite clear to JackRabbit, who alleges that Himiway ripped off the design of its popular electric micro e-bike.

The new Unagi Model One Voyager electric scooter maintains the classy looks we’ve come to expect from Unagi, yet packs in better performance for an even more impressive ride.

Paris votes to ban controversial form of light electric vehicles in the city

paris scooters

For years, shared electric scooters have dotted the streets and sidewalks of Paris. The scooters were heavily regulated but still welcomed into the city as a new form of alternative transportation. Over time though, the issue of shared e-scooters became more divisive, especially as the number of e-scooters in the city grew. Now it looks like the city is ready to write the final chapter on the shared two-wheelers after a recent vote has led the French capital to ban rental e-scooters.

Choosing between control or power, new 40 mph Apollo Phantom e-scooter opts for both

Now the company is back with the all new Apollo Phantom 2023, a powerful dual-motor electric scooter that reaches fast top speeds while still focusing on control and comfort as well.

Razor EcoSmart Cargo review: A clever 2-seater e-scooter, but with some problems

razor ecosmart cargo scooter review

Razor is no latecomer to the micromobility world, having produced awesome scooters for over two decades now. Testing an adult electric scooter designed like a kid’s toy: Razor Icon review

razor icon electric scooter

If you’re between the ages of 25 to 50, the name “Razor scooter” likely brings with it a certain nostalgia, the flavor of which may depend on whether you associate it with the childhood freedom of cruising the neighborhood or the unforgettable sound of aluminum on ankle bone. But now both are possible again with a modern twist thanks to Razor’s introduction of an electric scooter based on its classic design. I’ve had some fun by riding, testing, and crashing the new Razor Icon electric scooter over the last few weeks, and now it’s time to tell you what I think.

Evolv Terra review: A fun little 31 mph full-suspension electric scooter

evolv terra electric scooter review

I’ll just come out and say it: I love full-suspension electric scooters. They take a fairly small and compact EV form factor and make it possible to travel at faster speeds over rougher terrain without shaking your teeth out, and the Evolv Terra electric scooter from Urban Machina is another great addition to this rapidly growing market. While the scooter isn’t perfect, it packs in a lot of great features for a fair price.
