Lotus revamps 2026 Emeya and Eletre EVs with a dozen new trims and varying standard features

Lotus has launched its 2026 model year versions of its Emeya and Eletre EVs and is changing things up a bit this year to provide a wider array of standard features for its customers. The automaker has introduced new “600” and “900” trim nomenclature and several variants within each of those badges to note performance and other key features. As US consumers await deliveries of the first Emeya hyper GTs from Lotus, the supercar developer is touting its quick expertise in the BEV segment with impressive charging times. Lotus is hailing the Emeya’s charging speeds from 10-80% as a record breaker, but whether that’s true or not, there’s no denying the new hyper GT can be as fast at the charger as it is on the road.

But last year, the company began shipping its all-new electric SUV, the Eletre. It weighs 2600 kilograms. It’s built in China. It has more settings than a high-end washing machine. It’s… an SUV. Absolutely nothing about this car says “Lotus” — aside from the many Lotus logos on it.
