That might soon change as recent news has breathed new life into over ten years of rumors surrounding Apple’s attempt at an electric car. Tesla CEO Elon Musk wrote to employees in an email obtained by Electrek tonight that they are seeing strong demand, but the automaker needs to increase production fast in order to capitalize on it.

Elon Musk confirmed that he personally moved to Texas full time and revealed that the reason is to focus on Tesla Gigafactory Texas in Austin and SpaceX’s Starship development in south Texas.

As for the future of the electric automaker and rocket company in California, it is still unclear.
