BMW Charging has just launched in North America as an additional EV charger network powered by Shell Recharge. The newly expanded network gives BMW EV drivers access to over 100,000 chargers across the continent, easily accessible from the vehicle itself or an app.

Less than two years into his tenure as head of Shell’s renewables business, Thomas Brostrøm is exiting the company to “pursue an external opportunity,” according to a spokesperson for the company. Brostrøm’s exit follows Shell CEO Wael Sawan’s highly criticized strategy to shift back to more oil and gas production, investing less into renewable energy.

Volvo Trucks North America is joining forces with a bunch of other companies, including Shell Recharge, to implement a fast-charging network on the West Coast dedicated to supporting medium- and heavy-duty commercial EVs. The California Electrified Charging Corridor will combine several major metropolitan cities across Northern and Southern California with high-powered charging infrastructure.
