The video of an accident on the highway in the Netherlands caught on the dashcam of a Tesla Model X shows the Autopilot’s forward collision warning predicting an accident before it could be detected by the driver.

There’ve been a lot of talks lately about the upcoming Supercharger V3 having a significantly higher charge rate, and while it could be a future solution to wait times at charging stations it will not affect the current fleet, which is already having difficulties during high demand periods.

The recent Christmas break was no exception. Record wait times were reported at several Supercharger stations and an exceptionally long line at the Barstow Supercharger even made the headlines.

In my opinion, Tesla is currently by far the most interesting tech company to follow and 2016 was its most exciting year yet. I think the highlights are clear: Model 3 unveil event, introduction of Autopilot 2.0 on all cars, which could enable fully self-driving capability, and finally the unveiling of the solar roof products.

While 2016 was a year of unveilings, 2017 will be a year of execution for Tesla. The company plans to bring all those promising products that it unveiled in 2016 to market, and it also plans to announce a few more.

Tesla closes deal with Panasonic to start manufacturing solar products in Buffalo with $250 million investment

Back in October, Tesla confirmed working on a deal with Panasonic for the production of solar cells and modules at SolarCity’s Buffalo solar ‘Gigafactory’. Early this morning, Tesla announced that they closed the deal with Panasonic and they clarified the products they will make at the factory.
