SAIC Motor, a Chinese state-owned automaker, is doubling down on its EV strategy in Europe following encouraging sales so far this year. The massive automaker recently shared plans to erect a new EV production facility overseas, to help deliver models to its growing audience in the market.

SAIC automotive brand MG Motor has gotten the thumbs up to enter production on its Cyberster roadster concept. After debuting at the Shanghai Motor show in April, parent company SAIC announced a series production green light after a successful crowdfunding campaign.

MG has revealed first images of its Cyberster electric concept vehicle before its debut at the 2021 Shanghai Motor Show this month. The two-seater sports car was developed by the MG Advanced Design Centre in London and was designed as a futuristic homage to the brand’s classic MGB Roadster.
