Earlier this year, Tesla Motors bought a Michigan-based auto supplier named Riviera Tool. The company was already supplying Tesla and other automakers with parts and metal stamping die systems, but now Tesla has taken over the company’s facility and rebranded it as ‘Tesla Michigan’.
Before being acquired by Tesla, the company employed about 100 people at its manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids.
Tesla hopes to improve the efficiency of its manufacturing processes with the acquisition.
