The 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid starts at under $46,000 with 38 miles electric range

Nissan announced prices for its first plug-in hybrid (PHEV), the 2026 Rogue, will start at under $46,000.

The Rogue is by far Nissan’s best-seller in the US. Nissan sold nearly 218,000 Rogues in the US last year, but the lack of an electrified option led sales to drop 11% from 2024, as buyers opted for more efficient alternatives such as the Toyota RAV4, Mitsubishi Outlander, and Hyundai Tucson, all of which are available as PHEVs.

Nissan aims to lure buyers back with the 2026 Rogue, the brand’s first PHEV for the US. The plug-in Rogue is based on Nissan’s new PHEV powertrain, which the company said is more efficient and will enable lower prices.

The setup includes dual electric motors, a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and a 2.4L gas engine, delivering 38 miles of all-electric driving range. Combined, the 2026 Nissan Rogue offers up to 420 miles of total driving range with an EPA fuel economy estimate of 64 MPGe.

With Nissan’s standard Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD), the Rogue PHEV delivers a combined 248 horsepower and 322 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to accelerate faster than the gas-powered version.

Nissan announced prices for the 2026 Nissan Rogue PHEV will start at $45,990. It’s available in two trims: SL and Platinum.

Both variants feature a 12.3″ driver display and 9″ touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto.

Upgrading to the 2026 Rogue Platinum, starting at $49,990, gains a 10″ head-up display, a power panoramic moonroof, roof rails, heated second-row seats, and LED interior accent lighting.

The 2026 Rogue PHEV seats up to seven passengers and has a cargo capacity of up to 64.7 cubic feet, which Nissan says is enough to fit four golf bags. The roof is also tall enough to fit a mountain bike.

Nissan said 2026 models will begin arriving at US dealerships starting this month. Starting just under $46,000, the Rogue PHEV is slightly more expensive than the Toyota RAV4 and Hyundai Tucson plug-in hybrids.
