This is the 2025 VW ID. Buzz’s Electrify America charging package

Volkswagen of America and Electrify America today announced a three-year charging plan for the 2025 ID. Buzz.

The 2025 ID. Buzz charging plan includes three years of Electrify America’s Pass+ membership, which offers members preferential per-kilowatt-hour (kWh) rates of about 25% savings compared to standard pay-as-you-go options, plus 500 kWh of free charging.

500 kWh of charging can give you around 1,250 to 2,000 miles of driving, depending on the EV’s efficiency, conditions, speed, etc.

The ID. Buzz also features Plug&Charge functionality, which streamlines the charging process at Electrify America stations. By activating Plug&Charge in the Electrify America mobile app, ID. Buzz drivers plug in their vehicle, and the charging session automatically starts. (I have Plug&Charge for my VW ID.4, and it works great. It’s a time saver.)

Electrify America and Volkswagen launched their US charging partnership with the ID.4 in 2021, with three years of unlimited complimentary charging. In 2022, it was modified to three years of 30-minute complimentary charging, and in 2023, Plug&Charge was added to 2022’s offer. The 2024 ID.4 package is the same as the 2025 ID. Buzz package, minus the preferential per-kWh rates.
