As Tesla is ramping up production of the Model X, we are starting to see more walkthroughs and mini-reviews of the all-electric crossover.
We will keep an eye out for more in-depth reviews of ownership and driving performance, but in the meantime, the following video does a good job at showing the three-row configuration and how to navigate it.
We also get a good look at the storage space when all the seats are upright.
As it would be expected, the doors are getting a lot of attention – not only the Falcon Wing doors, but also the driver’s door which can automatically open.

I wish it was the same quality like a BMW or Mercedes. It would be the perfect car for me.
What makes you think it isn’t? …The model S is considered in the class of BMW, Mercedes, Audi, etc., and, in the comparable models, Tesla outsells them all.
And Tesla Model S won against BMW and Mercedes in known German magazine on driving feeling/turns and general. That have never happened before:)
What makes me think this? Feedbacks like this one: http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php/59871-Is-this-normal-or-an-unusual-amount-of-issues-for-a-3-week-old-car. This is just one but there a lot of them out there. If it was “considered in the class of BMW” and others, then is should bring the same quality like them.
A friend of mine has a 2014 P85D. He’s driven 20-something thousand km with it and he’s already experienced a dozen issues. Rattles, leaks, rusty screws, etc. Just the regular Tesla things. Even a low-end car doesn’t make that much problem after 1.5 years. I also speak to an other other owner who had a used 6 or 7 series before his Model S. He bought it with 70 thousand km (I think) and used it for 4 years with no issues. With the Model S he goes to service center in every second month (average) to fix something. My used 1 series haven’t had any issue in the last 2 years since I have it, and there is 94 thousand km behind it.
Answering your other question: No, I haven’t driven an X but I’ve driven my friend’s S a couple of times, and I have to admit the driving experience was awesome! And this makes me sad, because it simply could be the best car (for my needs), far beyond any other car. But if I spent more than a €100,000 on a car, I would expect a serious reliability and quality. I know the service centers fix these issues, but what would I do after 4 years when the warranty expires??? I would spend more money to keep the car in one piece than on an ICE car? And anyway… taking a car regularly to an SC is something but not a premium thing.
And the last thing which isn’t really an issue for me, I could live with it, but seriously… Do you really think this luxury of interior (http://www.bmwblog.com/2015/06/11/2016-bmw-7-series-cabin-technology-and-luxury/) can be compared to this one (https://www.google.hu/search?q=tesla+model+s+interior&safe=off&espv=2&biw=1440&bih=815&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiQqNLE6bLKAhVFRhQKHfe9AE8QsAQIHA#imgrc=_)??? Tesla is still missing a lot of extras (like night vision, 360° camera, HUD, etc.) that should be offered for a premium car.
So, R3D, have you driven a Model X? I have not, so I can’t really say, but, if you are making such a statement, then I have to assume it is from experience and not speculation?
After test driving a BMW 700 series, we decided to buy the Tesla Model S instead. Better fit and finish and way more comfortable to drive. Obviously YMMV.
Does the signatures have the front dual radar and camera as pictured on their website? For some reason the founders I have seen does not. Also when released in 2012 the fit a billions suitcases in there when 7 seater were present. You show trunk but aint there more space there? Cant you open the bottom rear like in the model S where the 7 set config model S is present? I remember from release trunk was a much deeper hence more room.
Where on the website do you see dual radar? As far as I know all of the Model X’s are shipping with the same sensors and cameras as the Model S, plus some additional ones for the auto-opening doors.
What are those “additional” sensors?
