Bastien Theron has been passionate about cars for as long as he can remember. He has assembled two kit cars and built a race car during university, where he also had the privilege of serving as an official driver.
He is an engineer driven by energy efficiency and atmospheric cleanliness. Outside of work, he enjoys nature, hunting, and riding ATVs, motorcycles, and snowmobiles. His other center of interest are movies, sci-fi and fantasy books, heavy metal music, space related stuffs driving any kinf of machinery.
Most notably, he founded a company in 2016 to design and build the first electric ATV. Although operations ceased in mid 2025 due to funding constraints, the experience allows him to continue working in the field of batteries and electric propulsion.
I drove the Can-Am Pulse over several rides, including a 4-hour stretch mixing city streets and higher-speed roads, for a total 570 km. I had the opportunity to try it in the rain as well as on a very hot sunny day, day and night. Here is my review:

I drove the 2026 Model Y RWD (Standard) for about 550 km (342 miles) across a mix of highway, back roads, and city driving, and I enjoyed the efficiency and technology far more than the driving experience itself. For anyone shopping for an affordable Tesla built around the brand’s software and ecosystem, this standard trim is a real contender, but it drives more like a generic SUV than the brand promises.

I drove the Lucid Gravity GT for more than 547 miles (881 km) across a mix of highway, backroads, and city driving, and I enjoyed nearly everything this vehicle has to offer. For anyone shopping for a luxury electric family vehicle that refuses to compromise on dynamics, the Gravity is clearly a contender, but it is plagued with some software issues that they will hopefully fix soon.

I drove the IONIQ 9 for more than 600 km across a mix of highway and city driving, and I enjoyed the package Hyundai has put together. The E-GMP platform, the cabin space, and the seat quality are all class-leading or close to it. A few software-layer gaps keep it from being perfect, but for a family that covers distance, the IONIQ 9 is one of the most complete three-row EVs on the market today.
