Lightship, a startup reimagining the recreational vehicle industry, achieved a huge milestone today: It kicked off production of its flagship electric travel trailer, the AE.1 Cosmos Edition. While the first Cosmos Editions of the AE.1 roll off Lightship’s assembly line in Colorado, we’ve gotten details of two additional variants that will follow.

Electric RV specialist Lightship is officially entering the recreation vehicle segment with a renamed version of its all-electric travel trailer, formerly known as the L1. Today, the company unveiled the Lightship AE.1—the production-ready version of its predecessor. It is now on sale as a limited “Cosmos Edition,” of which only a limited supply will be built and sold.

Less than a year after officially unveiling its all-electric L1 electric RV trailer, Lightship has announced it is now flush with funding to accelerate its production. Here’s the latest on the promising young startup.
