Kia recently held its annual EV Day event overseas, and we were one of the select outlets invited to attend in person. During that time, Kia executives outlined the Korean brand’s global EV strategy, which reiterated its unwavering approach to going all-electric, bolstered by several new models that made global debuts, including the Concept EV2, PV5 lineup, and the Kia EV4, which we learned will officially be sold in the US.

It’s official. We will finally get to see the new Kia EV2 and EV4 later this month for the first time. Kia just previewed several new models from its affordable EV series for the first time ahead of their big debut later this month. Kia confirmed it will launch the EV4 this year as it fills out “a full lineup of popular EVs.” According to Kia, the EV4 is “an entirely new type of EV sedan with a distinct style and sports car-like proportions. However, it’s expected to be much cheaper than your average sports car. With its official debut around the corner, we are getting a closer look at what we can expect from the Kia EV4, including the inside. Check it out below.

Kia officially opens its first EV-only plant to build low-cost EV3, EV4 electric vehicles

Kia held an opening ceremony for its first EV-only plant, “EVO,” as it looks to establish itself as a leading electric vehicle maker. Kia’s new low-cost EV3 and EV4 models are the first electric cars scheduled for mass production. The new facility will kick off a new era for Kia, with the capacity to build 150,000 EVs annually.
