The 2026 Porsche Macan EV is more powerful, more high-tech, and even lets you game inside

The 2026 Porsche Macan EV isn’t just smarter and more powerful. It also gains some playful new tricks, like in-car gaming. Here’s a rundown of what’s changing.

Meet the 2026 Porsche Macan EV

With the 2026 model year, Porsche is taking it up a notch. The 2025MY was already impressive (see our review of it), but the electric SUV gains a handful of upgrades that Porsche promises will take it “to a new level” for both drivers and passengers.

The new and improved Macan Electric is now available to order on Porsche’s website. Porsche unveiled the updated 2026 Macan EV on Thursday, introducing a range of new technologies, features, and other enhancements.

One of the biggest is the new Porsche Digital Key, a digital keyfob similar to the Tesla app. The Digital Key enables you to lock, unlock, and control different functions from your iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android device.

Porsche also introduced in-car gaming and other fun features through a new system, AirConsole. The system essentially turns your vehicle into an entertainment hub.

While parked or charging, you can play video games, stream music and movies, or use one of the third-party apps directly through the Macan’s infotainment system.

The 2026 Porsche Macan now has an optional 3D Surround View, which includes Active Parking Assist. Using four high-resolution cameras, the system provides a 360-degree view of your surroundings.

Other new features include a new Transparent Hood, providing a view of the front, and Trained Parking, which can be “trained” to park in your garage or workspace automatically. Meanwhile, Reverse Assist enables the vehicle to back itself up in a similar way.

Porsche has improved the infotainment system with an upgraded AI voice assistant, Voice Pilot, which can now understand more complex questions.

The 2026 Porsche Macan EV now boasts a towing capacity of up to 5,500 lbs, a 1,100-lb increase from the outgoing model.

Porsche opened orders for the upgraded 2026 Macan Electric, starting at $78,000. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in Spring 2026.
