The updated 2025 Porsche Taycan EV, with more range, performance, and faster charging, just gained three new variants. With 13 versions now available, the Porsche Taycan lineup has an option for almost everyone.
“We are continuing this success story with the extensively updated Taycan,” Kevin Giek, head of the Taycan lineup, said after unveiling the updated 2025 Taycan in February.
The new model is an improvement in nearly every aspect. It’s faster than ever, can drive a longer range per charge, and even charges up quicker to get you back on the road. It even gained slick new styling, adding to its already sporty design.
In March, Porsche launched the 1,092 hp Taycan Turbo GT, its fastest street-legal vehicle yet. With the Weissach Package, the electric workhorse can hit 0 to 60 mph in just 2.1 seconds.
The Taycan Turbo GT topped the record at the Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca earlier this year. With a lap time of 1:27:87, Porsche took the title back from Tesla’s Model S Plaid (with track package).
Porsche claims the 2025 Taycan gets up to 365 miles WLTP range (587 km) with the larger battery, while EPA estimates are 318 miles, up from 246 miles in the previous generation
Porsche launches three new 2025 Taycan EVs
Now, Porsche is expanding its lineup with three new Taycan models hitting the market. On Tuesday, Porsche launched the new Taycan GTS, GTS Sport Turismo, and new entry-level AWD Taycan 4 models.
“With the wide-ranging Taycan line-up, we meet a broad range of customer wishes and mobility needs. Our three latest models exemplify this exceptional breadth,” Giek said during the unveiling.
The new Taycan GTS builds on the iconic Porsche Gran Turismo Sport’s “model-spanning success story.” It packs up to 690 hp (with Launch Control), 100 hp more than the previous model, and is available in sedan or Sport Turismo form.
A new Electric Sport Sound system sets the GTS variant apart from other Taycan models. Porsche said the added feature is “to do justice to the exhilarating character of a GTS.” The new model can hit 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.
The Taycan 4 Cross Turismo is for those who want performance and efficiency. Depending on the battery (Standard Performance or Performance Battery Plus), the new model can produce up to 429 hp.
With dual motors, the new entry-level Taycan 4 provides more control and stability. It also features Porsche Traction Management and Adaptive Air Suspension for that smooth ride you would expect from the luxury brand.
