Tesla quickly renews its referral program with again a $1,000 discount and increases the limit [Updated]

Tesla referral program round 4

As we discussed when Tesla announced its last round of the referral program, the automaker is still tuning the program since the first round over a year ago now. Tesla went through 4 rounds with the latest ending last Friday and each round had different rules, rewards and discounts.

On occasions, Tesla waited a few weeks before launching a new round, but now we learn that the company quickly renewed the referral program for the fifth round with again a $1,000 discount on both the Model S and X.

The new round started today July 18 and it will run until October 15.

The prizes or rewards for the referrers are not yet known as Tesla didn’t update its referral program page on its website, which still lists the rules from the last rounds.

Update: Tesla has now revealed the prizes: Tesla announces the prizes for its current referral program: Model X P90D and invites to ‘Tesla’s next unveiling event’

But we do know that they increased the limit of referral per Tesla owners from 5 to 10. A lot of owners likely hit their limit during the last round of the program.

Last time, Tesla updated the list of rewards for referrers the day after activating the owner referral codes and discounts, so we will revisit tomorrow and see if we can find the list of prizes for the new round.

During the last round, referrers could win the exclusive 21″ custom Arachnid wheels in either black, grey or silver, invitations for two to the Gigafactory opening, or some Tesla apparel. Each referral also gave the owner an entry to win a Ludicrous P90D Model X.

You can use our referral code for $1,000 in credit at the purchase of a new Model S or X.
