Faraday Future possibly revealed the shape of its first production car

We were kind of disappointed to learn yesterday that Faraday Future’s first big reveal is a concept race car, which will act as a “test bed” for the company’s technology, and not an early prototype of FF’s first production car.

But it looks like the company released a subtle glimpse of its first production car in the release video of its FFZERO1 concept.

The picture above is a still image from the video.

FF Head of Design Richard Kim said that the FFZERO1 came about while the design team was working on the company’s first production car and Vice-President of Product Development Nick Sampson saw a drawing of a concept supercar made by one of the designer. He realized that the design could work on the company’s VPA electric platform and decided to make it happen.

7 months later, the company unveiled the FFZERO1 while introducing its first vehicle platform architecture.

But the way Kim describes the development of the concept, it was a side project while the team kept developing its first production car. Now the image appears only for a second in the video and could simply be to highlight the platform’s capacity to support different types of vehicles, but considering FF’s inclination for teasers (exhibit Aexhibit B), it could very well be the shape of the production car they are working on.

At first glance, it looks like it could be a crossover. What do you think?

looks like a hatchback Subaru or Volvo to me… so bummed about FF overall, other than signing that agreement with the state of Nevada, everything else related to that company appear to be complete vaporware with no working prototype a year from production.
