A covered Genesis GV90 appears to be charging at a Tesla Supercharger ahead of its expected debut later this year.
Does the Genesis GV90 have a Tesla NACS charge port?
The GV90 is expected to make its global debut later this year as the largest, most prestige vehicle under the Genesis brand.
Anticipation for the full-size electric SUV has been building for about two years now after Genesis unveiled the Neolun Concept in March 2024, a preview of the upcoming GV90.
With its debut coming up, the flagship SUV has been spotted testing several times, flashing premium features like Rolls Royce-style coach doors, adapative air suspension, and massive display screens.
The latest image shows what appears to be the Genesis GV90 charging at a Tesla Supercharger in Mesquite, Nevada.
It’s still covered, but the image posted on Reddit by user LegoDEI shows the electric SUV plugged in with a charge port on the back left side of the vehicle.
While it’s not confirmed, all signs point to it being the GV90. The camouflage, used by other Hyundai and Kia models, appears the same as previously spy images. It also has what appears to be an identical grille, headlight, and wheel design as previously sightings.
Genesis already announced that all new EVs in the US will come with a standard NACS port, starting with 2026 model year vehicles.

The GV90 was expected to arrive as a 2026 model year, but after delaying the start of production last year, it will likely launch as a 2027 model.
Like the Neolun Concept, test models have been spotted in Korea with coach doors, but they are expected to be reserved for higher trim options. Meanwhile, the vehicle shown at the Tesla Supercharger looks like it has traditional doors, suggesting it’s a base model.

The charge port location on the back left is something to note, given the IONIQ 9, Hyundai’s three-row electric SUV, has the port located on the back right side, making it harder to plug in at Tesla Superchargers.
Local reports estimate the Genesis GV90 could cost up to 300 million won ($207,000) in Korea, but again that’s for the higher-end trim. The base model will likely start at around 150,000 won, or about $100,000 in the US.
We should learn more details soon, including prices, driving range, and other specs with Genesis expected to finally take covers off later this year. Previous reports suggest the GV90 will launch on Hyundai’s new eM platform, which the company claims offers a 50% driving range improvement over current E-GMP-based EVs, like the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 9.
