A new interactive tool shows the thousands of manufacturing projects that have been cancelled, stalled, delayed, or lost support as a result of attacks on US manufacturing by Congressional republicans.
In 2025, Congressional republicans passed a bill that slashed support for US manufacturing, inevitably leading to an offshoring of advanced manufacturing projects from the US to overseas.
Rather than supporting US manufacturing investment and jobs, the bill channeled the money to wealthy elites, benefitting the richest Americans and adding $4 trillion to the national debt in the long term.
The bill in effect ended the renaissance of American manufacturing started under President Biden, which was projected to bring hundreds of thousands of good manufacturing jobs and hundreds of billions in investment. Now, those jobs are being sent to China, where advanced manufacturing is booming and the country is becoming the world’s supplier of the energy products it needs right now.
It was clear these harms would be done, but now we have a convenient tool to show exactly where and which projects and jobs have been lost to these attacks.
The tool comes from the BlueGreen Alliance, the same group that compiled the list of jobs and investment gained under President Biden.

Each harm is categorized, whether it be in the form of lost tax credit support (the largest category), awards that are at risk or have been delayed, awards that have been cancelled, or projects that have been cancelled or stalled completely.
And each project is clickable to find out just how many jobs and how much investment has been impacted as a result. Here are a few examples:

In total, BlueGreen Alliance analyzes 3,446 projects that have been affected by republican attacks on manufacturing. All of the jobs analyzed are involved in the “green energy economy” in some way or another – the type of manufacturing that will only become more important over time as the world transitions away from the fossil fuels that everyone has known for decades that we need to transition away from.
For more information and to search through the data to find what projects have been affected in your area, head on over to view the interactive tool on BlueGreen Alliance’s website.
