Lucid is now selling ‘reborn’ certified pre-owned EVs for the first time

It’s not just a used car, “it’s a Lucid reborn.” Lucid Group (LCID) is now selling certified pre-owned EVs for the first time.

Now, you can choose from a “Recharged” or standard pre-owned Lucid vehicle. The EV maker launched Lucid Recharged on Monday, its first foray into certified pre-owned vehicles.

“Lucid Recharged certified pre-owned isn’t just a used car – it’s a Lucid reborn,” according to Erwin Raphael, the company’s SVP of revenue.

The program offers the peace of mind from a Lucid-backed reconditioning and additional CPO warranty coverage compared to a standard used car.

To be eligible, each vehicle must be less than 6 years old, have fewer than 62,000 miles, and have been owned by a single owner. Lucid then puts the vehicle through a 160+ point inspection, reconditioning mechanical and body work as needed.

Customers can then upgrade their Recharged pre-owned EVs to gain additional features, such as Lucid’s DreamDrive Pro advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).

All Recharged certified pre-owned vehicles come with the original 4-year/50,000-mile factory warranty, plus Lucid is including a few extras: an additional 12-month/12,000-mile manufacturer limited warranty, roadside assistance for the full warranty period, a verified clean title & service history CARFAX report, and an inspection report.
