The new 2026 Subaru Solterra has a built-in NACS port, allowing you to charge up at one of over 25,000 Tesla Superchargers. Current Solterra owners will also gain access soon, but it won’t be free.
Subaru Solterra EV gains access to Tesla Superchargers
Following a similar announcement from Toyota, Subaru said it’s unlocking access to Tesla’s Supercharger network for Solterra EV owners.
Subaru gave the electric SUV an overhaul for the 2026 model year, which now features more driving range, added power, faster charging, and a new interior and exterior design.
The 2026 Solterra is also the first Subaru vehicle to feature a native NACS charge port. With Plug & Charge capabilities, also available on the new model, all you have to do is simply plug in to start and pay for the charging session.
Starting this fall, Subaru said all 2023-2025 Soltera EV drivers will be able to purchase a Genuine Subaru Accessory Fast Charging Adapter (NACS), which will open up access to Tesla Superchargers and other DC fast-charging stations.

Although Subaru has yet to say how much it will cost, Toyota announced earlier today that it will give NACS adapters out to current bZ4X owners for free.
In fact, Subaru is one of the few automakers that plans to make drivers pay for the adapter. Ford, Hyundai, and Kia are also handing them out for free. Subaru said more information will be sent to owners about the adapters once finalized.

The Solterra is based on the same Toyota e-TNGA platform that powers the bZ (formerly the bZ4X). Subaru offers standard AWD with its own unique style, features, and more.
Like the Toyota bZ, the 2026 Subaru Solterra is a drastic upgrade from the outgoing model. The new electric SUV now offers up to 288 miles of range and prices starting at $38,495, the same as the outgoing Solterra.

The upgraded Solterra brings a fresh style with Subaru’s new EV lightning signature, an illuminated six-star logo, redesigned headlights and tailamps, and a new rear spoiler.
Inside, all 2026 Solterra trims come with an all-new 14″ touchscreen infotainment as standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
| 2026 Subaru Solterra trim | Starting Price (MSRP) |
| Solterra Premium | $38,495 |
| Solterra Limited | $41,395 |
| Solterra Limited XT | $42,895 |
| Solterra Touring XT | $45,555 |
Subaru added a new Touring XT trim to the 2026 Solterra lineup. The new range-topping model features a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a radiant leg heater for the driver and front passenger. It’s priced from $45,555.
With leases starting as low as $339 per month, the 2026 Subaru Solterra may be an even better deal than the 2026 Toyota bZ.
