Check out Range Rover’s mid-size electric SUV spotted with a stylish new look [Images]

With its official debut coming up, Range Rover’s upcoming mid-size electric SUV was caught rocking a sleek new design. The smaller Range Rover EV is shaping up to be a potential challenger to the Porsche Macan Electric. Check out the latest images below.

When will Range Rover’s mid-size electric SUV launch?

Range Rover’s first electric SUV will finally arrive this year. At the end of October, the company said over 48,000 clients were already on the waitlist for its first EV.

Unlike the flagship EV, Range Rover’s mid-size electric SUV will be the first to use its new EMA platform. The smaller EV is expected to replace the Range Rover Velar.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) CEO Adrian Mardell confirmed the new EMA model was coming last year, saying, “We’ll first have MLA BEV, with the Range Rover BEV later next year. Then it’s the first vehicle off EMA.” The EMA-based model is expected to arrive in spring 2026.

We first saw the mid-size electric SUV last summer when it was spotted being delivered to JLR’s Nurburgring testing grounds.

After new images of the EV testing surfaced from Autospy, we are getting a closer look at the upcoming model. Right off the bat, it’s clear that the electric version is an immediate upgrade over the current model with a sportier, coupe SUV-like design.

The extended roofline could hint at a third-row seating option, but that has yet to be confirmed. JLR also said its new EMA platform will have hands-free, eyes-on driving assist and OTA updates.

Range Rover’s upcoming mid-size SUV is expected to compete with the electric Porsche Macan, which is already off to a strong sales start. Porsche delivered over 18,000 Macan EVs last year after the first was handed over at the end of September.
