Car karaoke is hotter than ever now thanks to James Corden and Tesla apparently wants in.
CEO Elon Musk says that Tesla is working on a ‘car karaoke’ mode to be released with their version 10 software update.
Tesla’s software update version 9 is still a few weeks away from being released, but Musk is already starting to talk about version 10.
Earlier this week, the CEO said Tesla is planning to add a video streaming feature to the center screen in the update.
There’s still no timeline on the release of the update, but Musk is now adding another planned feature for the release.
A Twitter user asked Musk about adding a “karaoke mode” and the CEO said that they are actually aiming to release a ‘Tesla Car Karaoke’ in version 10:
Tesla Car Karaoke hopefully ready in OTA software update version 10. Just played Missile Command, Asteroids & Lunar Lander in V9. Really fun!

As we previously reported, Tesla has also been working on its own music streaming service, which could potentially replace the third-party services that the automaker uses (Slacker in North America and Spotify in Europe).
Missile Command, Asteroids, and Lunar Lander are three classic Atari games that Musk said would be included as Easter Eggs in version 9 of Tesla’s software.
Musk has recently expressed interest in “gamifying” the Tesla experience and it looks like having more fun with the Easter Eggs is a part of it.
Here are some of the previous Easter eggs featured:

- The Tesla control panel shows James Bond’s (now Elon Musk’s) Underwater Lotus
