With only a few hundred Tesla Model 3 out there, some of those early owners are already turning to aftermarket modifications.
I think this rather simple one is my favorite yet.
Earlier this month, we reported on Tesla Model 3 matching color aero wheel covers becoming a thing. They were almost universally despised by readers.
Then Unplugged Performance gave its treatment to an early Model 3, which looked good in the glimpse of the vehicle that we caught.
Now Unplugged’s main competitor, TSportline, also a Tesla-only aftermarket car tuner, unveiled its first Model 3 project and it does look quite badass in my opinion.
They did what they called the “trifecta” with a chrome-delete on a black Model 3 and added 3M window tint and their own 19″ wheels:
The 19″ TST wheels in matte black look closer to Tesla’s own Turbine wheels which are not available for Model 3. With the wheel options being currently quite limited on the Model 3, it will be interesting to see what the aftermarket players will come up with.
For this project, they are equipped with Pirelli Zero Nero GT tires.
They released this video of the project on Facebook and Instagram last night:
Electrek’s Take
Right now, there are only a few Model 3 on the roads and finding one outside of Northern California is like finding a unicorn for some EV enthusiasts, but if Tesla manages to ramp up production and deliver the electric car to the almost 500,000 people who reserved it, it could quickly become quite common in the next few years.
If that becomes the case, I wouldn’t be surprised if aftermarket mods become popular on the Model 3 in order to stand out from the masses.
