Tesla Model 3: new white release candidate shows clear design lines

As we reported last week, a new white Tesla Model 3 release candidate has been spotted testing in the wild.

Now new pictures of the vehicle as emerged with better angles and we can see that the white paint highlights the design lines of the Model 3 like never seen before.

It’s interesting how different the prototypes can look with each new sightings as we get new angles, light, and colors, considering we have relatively little footage of them.

The white release candidate almost makes it look like a different car.

The shadows on the white paint add depth to the design lines – something that was harder to see with the previously spotted black and blue release candidates. It’s closer to the look someone would get by seeing it in person.

It was spotted in Cupertino this weekend by gamerfreak4life’s cousin via /r/teslamotors – and the last picture via Ramon Alvarado from the last sightings:

It looks like Tesla is ramping up testing on public roads for the Model 3 release candidate program. It makes the third prototype spotted testing in the Bay Area and another one was spotted in Cincinnati Friday night – the first sightings outside of California.

As we like to remind everyone when we spot the Model 3 release candidates in the wild, the vehicles are being tested with different prototypes at different stages of readiness and therefore, we need to be careful before assuming that certain features will be in the production version, which is still expected to be released in July.

With this said, if only the 3 colors seen on the Model 3 release candidates so far were the one made available to order, which one would you prefer? Pictures: black, blue, and white.

Tesla recently took delivery of a massive shipment of robots for the Model 3 production line and at a TED talk interview last Friday, CEO Elon Musk said that Tesla was still on schedule for the start of production in July.
