Tesla partners with Neiman Marcus to bring the Model X to New York Fashion Week [Video Teaser]

Model X getting ready for the runway

Tesla released a quick teaser video today to announce a partnership with American luxury specialty department store Neiman Marcus and to bring the Model X to New York Fashion Week.

The company didn’t release anymore details, but presumably the Model X will make an appearance alongside the Neiman Marcus brand this week at the 2016 New York Fashion Week.

During the conference call discussing Tesla’s fourth quarter financial results last week, CEO Elon Musk said the company was suppressing demand for the Model X until it was able to catch up with its production ramp up, but that seems to be over after Tesla brought the X to the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto last weekend and now apparently Fashion Week.

A partnership with Neiman Marcus wouldn’t be the first with an upmarket department store for Tesla. Last year, the automaker  offered test drives out of Harrods in London.
