Nissan and BMW, two of Tesla’s main competitors, are keen on talks with the US carmaker to co-operate on charging networks, sources at the three companies told the Financial Times.
Problem: As far as I can tell, not one Nissan or BMW can make it the 100 or so miles between Tesla superchargers so hold your nose cause here goes the cold water.

The 100-mile problem is a really interesting callout. What if though, with Nissan and BMW (and potentially others) building additional chargers and Tesla’s own continued expansion of the supercharging networking, the distance between most chargers is cut in half? I think that’s the real point of inflection.
yeah more chargers are better no doubt. But if people think that the Supercharger network will benefit BMW and Tesla’s current line of cars, they are kidding themselves
It is also lame to go 80 miles, have to recharge for 20-30 then go another 80. I think this is why Tesla abandon the 40KWH battery model.
Haha yeh – those things will be strictly city cars unless you’re lucky enough to have charging stations at work if you’re commuting.
